Shropshire DA AGM Weekend – 8th -10th March

Following our committee meeting held on the 16th February we can confirm that two of our long standing committee members are retiring.

Laura, our catering officer will be retiring at the AGM on the 9th March 2019.

Ken, our Treasurer will leave us at the end of the financial year as Treasurer and as a committee member at the AGM in 2020.

Both Laura and Ken will be a great loss to the Shropshire DA committee and we thank them for all of their years of service.

We need at least two people to join our committee at the AGM on the 9th March 2019.

The important thing to remember is, if we do not have a Treasurer or the minimum of 6 committee members then Shropshire DA will no longer be able to function.
The time to act is now, please join our committee and enjoy the amazing feedback that as a committee we have just received following our Valetnine’s Meet. Yes it takes time but it is very much worth it and it would be a massive shame to see the enjoyment of the members and the hard work of the committes past and present go to waste.

We appreciate all of your support at this important event which will be will be held at 3pm on the 9th March at Rushbury Village Hall, SY6 7JD.

If you enjoy your leisure time with us, now is the time to step forward and help to support Shropshire DA.

Please don’t think that others will put themselves forward as it will reach a point where there is no one and Shropshire DA will be no more.

Being a committee member involves 4 to 5 meetings a year, there are various positions to be filled to help with the running of the DA. A Committee member must be over the age of 18 and must have been a Club member for at least one year.

The weekend will consist of a social evening in the Village Hall on Friday and after the AGM on Saturday we will be having an american supper, we would appreciate your donations of buffet food.
