On behalf of the Committee of Shropshire DA, I would like to wish all of our members and their families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy 2019, and thank you for camping with us during 2018.
A fantastic 42 adults and 7 children attended the 2018 Shropshire DA Christmas Party at Rushbury Village Hall, Wall-under-Heywood over the weekend of 7-9th December.
Although a familiar venue for Shropshire DA, this was the first time that we had visited Weston Park for their bonfire & fireworks event. 16 units attended over the 5 days of the meet, enjoying the Park in its autumnal glory. This was very much a free and easy meet, allowing people to explore the park and its attractions and the local area at their leisure.
13 units, including a very impressive 11 children, attended the Halloween meet at a new site for the DA, Bramblewood, near Whitchurch. The site offers EHU, toilets and showers and a barn which is a games room containing pool table, table tennis, table football and dart board, and was utilised by the DA for our evening entertainment.

The August Bank Holiday weekend saw the return of Shropshire DA’s Cheese and Cider meet at Tadpole Fields, in the beautiful village of Eardisland. A fantastic turnout saw 46 units in attendance, from various DAs across the country including Somerset, Loddon, Waterside, Derbyshire and North East Lancashire, and 17 from Shropshir
Another successful meet for Shropshire DA with 14 units attending in good weather for our annual Boules tournament.
