Meet Report – Eardisland August Bank Holiday THS

The THS opened on Thursday 22nd August and the units arrived steadily from opening time onwards, on this well kept, flat site in the beautiful village of Eardisland in Herefordshire which has plenty of amenities close by.

With good weather forecast for the weekend it was decided to hold a Cheese and Cider evening on the Saturday which was well attended and enjoyed by all, with many conversations taking place between campers and feedback being received about what a nice idea it was to get people together on site.

The weather on Sunday was even hotter than Saturday, which encouraged people to make the short stroll into the village to watch the annual Duck Race, and a good time was had by all.

Later in the afternoon, some of the campers went off to cool down in the river Arrow in the idyllic village of Pembridge.

The weather remained relatively fine for the rest of the week, allowing those on site to enjoy some well earned relaxation, and we will be returning here for another Bank Holiday THS in 2020 for hopefully more of the same.

Thanks to Vince, Linda, Andrew and Tracy for stewarding, and to Tracy, Linda & Eirwen for organising the Cheese and Cider evening.
