10 caravans and 2 motorhomes from as far away as North Wales attended Shropshire DA’s Wine Tasting evening. All 12 units submitted a bottle of wine which was wrapped to disguise it’s origins.

As the wines were tasted (and sometimes consigned to a strategically placed red bucket) it became apparent that one particular bottle was attracting all the plaudits. After refreshing our palates with cheese and crusty bread it was time to reveal the winner.

To no-ones surprise bottle number 2 emerged a clear winner with an average mark of 8.1 out of 10. The cover was removed to reveal Blossom Hill Sun Kissed Red submitted by Joan and Glyn Harper.

Over £50 was raised by a raffle in aid of Riding for the Disabled. Next morning we held our usual coffee morning bringing a very enjoyable meet to an end. Thanks to Maddie and Allan for stewarding and to all who attended and took part.
