We can confirm Roy’s funeral will be held on Tuesday 21st January at 2.45pm at Shrewsbury Crematorium followed by the Peacock Inn, Wenlock Road.

Family flowers only, donations to be split between Severn hospice Shrewsbury and Hope House children’s hospice.

It is with great sadness that I type this message.

Roy passed away this afternoon (22nd December 2019) following a long and very brave fight against illness. He was a dear friend and former Shropshire DA Chairman.

Roy and his wife June were long serving and active members of the DA and joined us at a number of meets this year, including Easter and Cheese and Cider at Orchard Cottage, and Roy will be sadly missed by us all.

Despite his ill health, Roy was always happy to have a chat with his fellow campers and was so pleased to see the DA going from strength to strength this year, he commented on our many successful meets and was so happy to see the DA growing.

Our thoughts and prayers are with June and their family at this time.
